Photo Album Horse Boarding Stables
Whispering Winds Stables is the perfect stop for equine
enthusiasts vacationing with their horses or on their way to a horse show;
we can provide restful boarding for your horses!
In 2007, Angels in Horse Hairs at Whispering Winds was
complimented on two occasions: when Dressage Champion Senorita
chose our stable for overnight accommodations. She relaxed in
the peaceful barn and enjoyed a peaceful night of rest traveling
from Indiana to New Jersey.
The grand 1880s barn has been renovated to accommodate 10 stalls inside and
one outside. We almost always have room. The 22-acre estate gives the horses
plenty of room to roam and rich pastures for grazing.
If you have other horse boarding needs, please feel free to
Contact Us, to
see how we may be of help.

The History of Whispering Winds
Whispering Winds, located
near the town of Mt. Pleasant, is in the heart of the Laurel Highlands.
Among the qualities that set Whispering Winds apart from others are:
Please Contact Us to inquire about our
programs.
We are located within 40 miles of Pittsburgh and close to the Pennsylvania Turnpike
at New Stanton.
Whispering Winds is located in a region rich in history and culture. The
home itself was built in 1875 for Mr. Ben King by Dr. Krause. It is one of
three surviving buildings from the original farm.
The second building is a spring house, one of the last buildings scheduled
for renovation. It is believed to be where Mr. Kings nurse lived.
The spring house is located directly behind the original home.
Although many
years have gone by, the spring house continues to possess a calming aura
filled with history and charm.

The last building is a two story barn which was converted from a dairy barn
to a horse barn in 2001, with the goal introducing Rocky Mountain Horses to
the area. We are proud to be Rocky Mountain Horse breeders. Our animals
boast exceptional bloodlines, sweet dispositions, and remarkable beauty!
All three buildings have their original foundations, comprised of interwoven
flat stones and clay. The barn was built by the Amish, and is as sturdy as
the day it was built.
